How do I sign up for a study session?

All Students who wish to sign up for tutoring sessions (Tutees) must complete a one-time online “Tutee Registration Form.” Each week the Tutee will complete the "APES Tutor Request Form" to request a Bronco Educator (Tutor) indicating the subject and topic they need help on.

 

How often and when are the tutoring sessions?

The tutoring session is once a week. It will be an after school program, every Wednesday from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM. Tutors will be required to sign-in 5 to 10 minutes prior.

 

How early should I sign-up?

Please give at least 48 hours to help find a match with a Bronco Educator.

 

Can I walk-in to get Tutoring help?

Yes. Walk-ins are permitted but there is no guarantee a Bronco Educator will be available to help out.

 

Can I get help outside the scheduled time slot?

Any tutoring session must be coordinated through CSF for the Bronco Educator to get volunteer hours.

 

Does the Tutor have my contact information?

No. CSF will not share either the Tutee or Bronco Educator contact information with either party to protect the privacy of the students.

 

Is there a consequence for “no-show?”

Yes. If you have three “no-shows” without informing the APES coordinator, you will be barred from using APES services for the rest of the semester. We understand they will be personal emergencies that will cause you to miss a tutoring session without notice. These will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

 

If I signed up for a tutoring session and cant attend, can I have a friend take that spot?

No. If you are unable to attend please inform the APES coordinator. Have your friend sign-up.

 

Where is the link to the google form for signing up?

Click on the "APES Tutor Request Form" to sign-up.

 

Can I sign up more than a week in advance?

No. At this time we are scheduling one week in advance.

 

Can I request a specific “Bronco Educator” to work with?

If you have a special circumstance that requires you to work with a specific tutor please email rbhscsf@gmail.com  stating your need and special circumstance. Every effort will be made to accommodate reasonable requests.
